Bart Doerfler - Creative Director

Seven-time award winning director and choreographer, Bart Doerfler has recently fulfilled a personal, magical goal opening The Wizarding World of Harry Potter at Universal Studios Hollywood to rave reviews; directing both the “Tri-Wizard Tournament” and “Frog Choir” shows respectfully.

Bart was the creative director, choreographer and writer of “Passion” for Stage Entertainment and Holiday on Ice for the 2015/2016 World Tour. He was the creative director and choreographer for “Grease the Arena Show” with Music Hall Events in 2014. He directed and choreographed “Honu by the Sea” which was the first ever musical to premiere at the Smithsonian Institute in Washington DC. He also directed, choreographed, and wrote the record-breaking tour “Speed” for Stage Entertainment and Holiday on Ice in 2011/2012.

Other shows include the award winning “Country on the Rocks” and “Malibu Beach Party” for Hard Rock Theme Park, as well as “Chopper Bettys” and “The Vamps Girlie Revue” in Las Vegas. Bart was the creative force behind “Country Fever”, “Country Gold”, “Mud Flap Mama” tour, “That’s Dancin'” and “Aireus”; which was awarded the Nevada Theatrical Entertainment Award for Best Choreography and Best Show two years in a row. A few other creative director and choreographic credits include “Elmo’s Halloween Character Parade”, “Happy Snow Party”, “Ladder Up”, “Coast Guard”, and “Hello Kitty! Things I Like” all for Universal Studios Japan.

As well, Bart was the staging director and choreographer for the huge, spectacular productions of “Rainbow Circus”, “Dreams are Universal”, “Happy Harmony Celebration” and “Universal Water Parade” all for Universal Studios Japan, “Madagascar: Operation Vacation” with Dreamworks for Busch Gardens Tampa with Sea World Parks and Entertainment, LLC, “Madagascar Live” for Dreamworks Everland Park and “Aladdin World Premiere” for Sega, The Ringling Brothers Barnum and Bailey Circus, “Elmo’s Green Thumb”, and “Mickey’s Magic Show”.

Bart choreographed “The American Comedy Awards” for Comedy Central, “Greg the Bunny”, and the feature film “Outpatient”, “The Boys from Syracuse” and “Mac and Mabel”. He has choreographed for Mandy Moore, Jessica Simpson, Janet Jones, Nicole Scherzinger, “Beverly Hills 90210”, ESPN, and the Hyatt Corporation. Bart was a show director for the Walt Disney Company and a creative consultant to the Disney Imagineers.

Stephen Emmer – Musical Director

Stephen Emmer is an independent Dutch composer/arranger/artist hailing from Amsterdam in the Netherlands. He’s the son of former news anchorman Fred Emmer and ballet dancer/actress Roekie Aronds.  He has recorded for and written, performed and collaborated with a variety of great artists such as Lou Reed, Chaka Khan, Patti Austin, Leon Ware, Midge Ure, Julian Lennon, Glenn Gregory, Billy MacKenzie, Mary Griffin, Peter Coyle, Claudia Brucken and Martha Ladley to name but a few. On top of that he has worked with legendary producers like Tony Visconti, Flood, Trevor Horn, Steve Power, Martin Hannett, Nigel Gray and Bob Power.
In the 70’s he started writing avant-garde type music whilst playing in various bands, like Minny Pops, The Associates and The Lotus Eaters. He’s also known as a composer for media projects and became Holland’s first in-house composer for the Dutch public broadcasting organization NOS, next to creating musical work for art exhibitions, experimental film projects, show events, radio shows, documentaries and short feature films.

Next to being responsible for the ‘custom made award for best tv music’ for Promax BDA he was the judge-president for the official Dutch Music and Sounddesign Award and the main founder of the Buma Music In Motion conference.

Cynthia Nordstrom - Costume Designer

Cynthia Nordstrom always wanted to be in entertainment. Little did she know the theater bug would one day lead her to design all kinds of costumes for many theatre productions.  Born in Cranford and currently residing in Chatham, Nordstrom’s initial hopes were to be an actress, as she frequently performed in Middlesex County’s Plays in the Park every summer.


Her passion soon turned towards fashion and she studied design at Drexel University.

“The compromise was I had to be a designer in entertainment,” she says. Design she did. Nordstrom’s work has been featured in Disney World stage shows, Disney on Ice productions, Holiday on IceRingling Bros and Barnum & Bailey as well as off-Broadway productions, including a stage adaptation of the cult-classic film, Evil Dead: The Musical.

David Smeets – Lighting Designer

David is the founder of TCF, a young design and production company based in Belgium, which has grown into a global player in the field of event design and event productions for various festivals, concerts and shows.

Marinus de Graaf – Scenic Design

Marinus de Graaf has been designing artwork, sets en video graphics for theatre productions for almost 25 years.  As a (graphic) designer he worked for several amusement parks in The Netherlands and Belgium.

Michael Al-far – Video Design

Michael Al-Far is a successful Video Content Designer. His career started as light assistant at international theater and TV-shows. Now, as a multimedia design professional, Michael has earned his credits with his extensive experience within live shows (Holiday on Ice), musicals (Hair, Grease), various concerts, festivals and film and TV.

Jeroen ten Brinke – Sound Designer

Jeroen is one of the most successful sound designers from The Netherlands, responsible for sound design of musicals like Saturday Night Fever, Titanic, Elisabeth and Soldaat van Oranje. But also for several concerts Jeroen has proven his expertise. “ You have to listen, feel and know what to do to make a production successful.”

Michael J. Austin (USA) as Kelvin Gizmo

Michael has been performing professionally as an actor and vocalist for twelve years now, throughout United States and around the world, in major musical theatre and opera, cruise ships and review or production shows including: The Full Monty, Chicago, Peter Pan, MADAGASCAR LIVE and many more.


“I couldn’t be more thrilled to work with this amazing team again, after my time playing King Julien in MADAGASCAR LIVE, touring China! I have the coolest job in the world and the people working on this project are wonderful. They have so much passion and talent! I’m thrilled to be here creating and bringing this character to life! I look forward to the audience’s reaction. I know they’re going to love it!”

Harrison Spiers (UK) as Zarr

When his dad took him to an audition for an amateur theatre production of “Oliver”, Harrison’s serious interest in theatre began. At the age of 11 was part of a children’s ensemble. From the age of 16 he studied a BTEC in Performance; Musical Theatre at Brooksby Melton College in Melton Mowbray, England. At the age of 18 he moved to London to study Musical Theatre at Mountview Academy of Theatre Arts. Since graduating in 2013 Harrison performed in numerous shows including “Avenue Q”, “Happy Days: A New Musical”, “Aliens Love Underpants” and “The Cat In The Hat”.


“I grew up watching Cartoon Network as a child everyday! I love travelling to new places so I am very excited to have the opportunity to travel with the show to places I’ve never visited before. I also can’t wait to play a villain for the very first time!”

Frankie Marcello (UK)

Frankie worked at Global Village in Dubai performing Moshi Monsters and several other shows on the main stage, danced on various cruise ships for 3 years, appeared on Eastenders and many pantomimes with well known celebrities. She toured in pantomime in 2015 in Jack and the Beanstalk.


“Wow! Cartoon Network is a huge brand and would be an amazing opportunity to work for. When I was a kid I used to watch the Powerpuff Girls, Johnny Bravo and Dexters Laboratory. The Powerpuff Girls were by far my favorites as I always wanted to be a super hero who can fly, this program resembled girl power.”

Jo Matcham (UK)

Jo was part of Feld Entertainment’s Disney Live! Mickey’s Music Festival from 2015-2016. A touring arena show across Spain, the Canary Islands, Bahrein and Dubai. Recently she’s been part of Disneyland Paris 25th anniversary Special Event Show.

Nick Pack (UK)

Nick graduated in Musical Theatre in 2011. His previous theatre credits include Smurf Live’ (International tour), Buster in ‘Elves and the Shoemaker’ (UK Tour), ‘Pinocchio’ (St Paul’s Covent Garden), Marco in ‘Angelina Ballerina The Mousical’ (UK Tour), Owl Eyes in ‘GATSBY’ (Arts Theatre, Leicester Square), Peter Pan (Norwich Theatre Royal) and many more.


“When i was young I was a huge Cartoon Network fan (I still am). I watch it occasionally with my nephews. I can’t wait to begin working with Live Nation. They always produce fantastic shows and I am looking forward to being part of the team. I am also looking forward to the rehearsal period and working with Bart Doerfler and the cast to create an amazing show and bringing the Cartoon Network characters to life.”


Ashley Pekrul (USA)

Working for Stage Entertainment, Ashley performed in Ice Age Live! Other shows she performed are Circo Ruso Sobre Hielo in South America and a holiday gala show for Best Agency in Las Vegas.

Louis Rayneau (UK)

Born and raised in Surrey in the South of England, Louis started his journey in musical theatre at a stage school from the age of 4! At the age of 18 Louis started his professional training in Musical Theatre. He graduated in 2016 from a Drama School called Performance Preparation Academy.

Louis has played The White Rabbit in Alice in Wonderland (Italian Tour), Filch/Movement Captain in The Beggars Opera (Brockley Jack Studio) & Duchamp in the UK Premier of Hotels For Criminals (New Wimbledon Studio).


“When my agents informed me that I got the part in Cartoon Network Live! I was absolutely over the moon and so excited to start! I’m incredibly excited to meet everyone involved, to see the set and the special effects. Reading the script has got me very excited and you certainly are in for an adventure! My favourite character has to be Ben 10! He can turn into different Aliens with amazing abilities. Super cool!“

Jade Speed (UK)

Jade took part in various professional pantomimes as a juvenile dancer, spirit of the ring, senior dancer and dance captain and most recently Tinkerbell in Peter Pan. She was Pepper in the UK tour of Annie and played the part of Annie in an off-westend production of Annie.


“It will be such an amazing experience and I can’t wait to get started. I’m most looking forward to seeing the Cartoon Network Live! complete as I know it will be an amazingly fun show! As well as this, getting to visit all the different countries we are going to on the tour.”

Robin Proosten

Her love for theatre began at the age of 8 when she took drama classes at ‘theatre the garage’ in Venlo. After her studies the theatre academy in Tilbutg (NL) she continued her studies at the Albeda Dance College in Rotterdam.


For the last 8 years she works as a freelancer in the entertainment industry for TV Programs like X-factor, Sunday night fever, the golden television ring and at festivals, clubs, the Efteling, TMD Theater productions and Kroonenburg productions. She toured with Dora the exploder for Nickelodeon in which she played Dora.



Jake Addley

After graduating from The Brits School,  Jake has appeared in, ‘Doctors’ (BBC), as ‘Olly Powell’. In ‘Peter Pan, Dick Whittington, Robin Hood, Aladdin’. ‘Up & Down’, ‘Billy & The Snow Dragon’, ‘One Fine Day’,’Mother Courage’, &’Teechers’.

This Christmas 2018 he will be appearing in The West End as the Gruffelo in ‘The Gruffelo Child’.
